"These photographs initially started as a game where I would take the photograph and share it with my partner, prompting him to 'find the cat,' and as my collection of cat photographs began to grow, I had the idea to turn this game into a zine that I could share with others. So, this zine not only combines two of my great loves—photographing Long Beach and attempting to capture some sort of essential aspect of my surroundings (“here”) and looking for cats literally everywhere I go (“kitty”)—but it also allows me to share the actual experience of searching for these cats with other folks."
