What Do Bombay Cats Know

“When I moved to Mumbai a few years ago for my very first job, I was taken aback by its hustle culture and people's love for the grind. In other words, Mumbai is all about capitalism. I am not completely sold on it and probably never will be.

But on my way to the office every day, around 9 a.m. or so, I would always notice the cats...I have countless photos of them just lounging around. I kept coming back to the seemingly stress-free energy they embodied—they were always so at ease, never in any rush. Through this zine, I've tried to capture the duality of the two instances while also using the medium as a space to write a poem.”
